Hi. I’m Suzan Butler. I write stuff. Mostly in the young adult and fantasy realm. My first novel isn’t sold yet and it seems like such a daunting task, though so many have done it before me. Great, now I need chocolate.
Ok, so what to put in the debut blog post?
I’m a mom. I have two wonderful boys that are probably going to be taller than me by the time they’re ten. Family is really important to me and when I’m not obsessively trying to get a story out of my head, I’m with them.
I <3 werewolves. Vampires seem to be the newest craze, what with Twilight mania and JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Me, I adore werewolves. I have tons of books on the subject and I regularly Google to see if anything new has come up.
I read a lot. Currently, I’m working my way through PC and Kristen Cast’s House of Night books. I love fantasy, and I’m especially enthralled with urban fantasy. Right now, I’m going through a young adult reading phase. I’ve got over 4000 books in my house, with at least 200 of them waiting to be read.
I Twitter obsessively. Normally, I’m on Twitter under my alter ego more often than under my regular Twitter account, but I’ll be tweeting more in the coming weeks as I receive news of my young adult manuscript making the rounds.
Um, that’s about all I can say. Don’t want to say too much or I’d be out of things to talk about in a week! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, folks!
